President's Letter
Dear Friends,
My name is Roger Keeling and I was fortunate to be born in the United States of America where I had the incredible opportunity to spend my youth playing the game of baseball – the national pastime of the U.S. and the love and obsession of the wonderful country of Nicaragua.
During those years, the love of my parents in a Christian home and the game of baseball shaped and molded the adult that I would eventually become. Baseball was my source for physical exercise, socializing with community, developing friendships, seeking mentors, experiencing achievement, dealing with failure and setting goals for my life.
Baseball gave me incentive to perform in school, taught me discipline by focusing on goals and objectives, provided a source for summer employment and eventually paid for my college education through an athletic scholarship. It shaped my life and left me with life-long friends, unforgettable memories and a passion for the game.
It is because of these incredible experiences that I established the NYBSA for the children of Nicaragua – as a way to partner with others in giving back to the great games of baseball and softball a small portion of what I took from these games as a child and young adult.
To discuss the NYBSA with me personally, or to make a donation, please contact me at 770-881-7728 or by email at roger@nybsa.com.
Regards,

Roger Keeling
