NYBSA Players and Families,

We are reaching out to share an updated schedule for the Fall 2026 rec season. Please be sure to read through this message for important dates.

Due to updated field openings and the new week-long Fall Break for Gwinnett County Public Schools, we are having to push up the dates for player evaluations. We sincerely apologize for the late change, but this is necessary in order for us to offer a complete 10-game baseball/softball rec season within our permitted field times. (The updated season schedule is further below.)

  • First Evaluation: Wednesday, August 12th – 6:00PM – 8:00PM
  • Second Evaluation: Saturday, August 15th – 10:00AM – 12:00PM

All evaluations take place at Pinckneyville Park. Locations for each league are below.

  • Softball Pee-Wee / Tee-Ball: Field 1
  • Softball Majors / Minors: Field 6
  • Baseball T-Ball: Field 3
  • Baseball Pee-Wee: Field 2
  • Baseball Minors: Field 4
  • Baseball Majors: Field 5
  • Baseball Pony: TBD, coaches will reach out with instructions.

If you are unable to make either of these evaluation dates, please let us know. Remember, your son/daughter only needs to attend ONE evaluation session – no pre-registration is necessary.

Please see below for some information and tips for evaluations.

  • Please sign in at the check-in table next to your player’s designated field above. Your player will receive his/her name tag there.
  • Evaluations last approximately 10 minutes once your son/daughter gets on the field. Once they finish, you are welcome to depart
  • All players should bring a glove, helmet, bat, and cleats to evaluations.
  • If you have requested your son/daughter to play-up/play-down, please evaluate first at his/her assigned age league (i.e. the league that they are officially registered for). After that, you may proceed to the other league’s registration table and identify your son/daughter as a play-up/play-down.

The Fall 2026 Season schedule is below. Please note that practice and game times will not be available until all teams are drafted the week of August 17th. Once teams are selected, your son/daughter’s coach will reach out with practice dates.

  • Team Drafts: Monday – Wednesday, August 17th-19th
  • Team Announcements: Thursday, August 20th
  • First Practices: Saturday, August 22nd
  • Scrimmage Week: Week of September 7th
  • Opening Day: Saturday, September 12th
  • Gwinnett County Fall Break: October 10th-18th
  • League Tournaments: TBD, likely the last week of October
